This is the place to be. I’m a very finicky eater and I enjoy good all around the world, so my expectations for service and food quality as an American are very very high!! This place surpassed my expectations and then some. I would suggest El Americano to anyone visiting Taxco. The service from Oscar was impeccable and the food was phenomenal. The babka French toast, the cocoa pancakes, the skillet, the coffee French toast, and the custom dish they made for me were amazing. I’ll be back for sure when visiting from CDMX!

Maybe the best pancakes I’ve ever had! My partner had the delicious guajillo rancheros. The dirty chai was so good, and my partner had the “Shakatero” which he really liked.

Came to the bar upstairs for drinks and returned fot breakfast the next day! Lovely staff, great food and drinks, reasonably priced, and beautiful view from the rooftop.

The best breakfast you will find in Taxco if not all of Mexico. The quality and execution was all five star the matcha expresso cold and fruit with sweet cottage cheese was so good. Beautiful restaurant. I will return!

This is one of the best restaurants in ALL OF MEXICO. Amazing amazing breakfast and the service was EXCELLENT. The food was SOOOO good, seriously the best American breakfast. We will always come back. Oscar is the BEST WAITER! Gracias OSCAR!

We found this to be a great spot for an American-style brunch for a change of pace while traveling. The restaurant, attached to a nice hotel, was quiet with little custom after noon on a rainy Monday. Decor and ambiance were appealing, service was attentive, food was tasty (if not 100% authentic — that bagel never saw a boiling pot!). The chai lattes were an especially big hit with both teenagers and adults.
